In the fast-paced world of business, challenges are inevitable. Whether it's navigating market fluctuations, managing team dynamics, or addressing client needs, the pressure can often strain relationships. However, building and maintaining healthy relationships is crucial for long-term success.

I am lucky enough to have made some lifelong friends while running a business. This is something I now pride myself in. We have common interests which is why we work where we do. Yes I am the boss but we had mutual respect and still work together as a team. I would not be a boss if I didn’t have a great team behind me to lead.

In my early years of running a business I was told, do not be friends with your staff, show who's boss, don’t have empathy for them they work for you. This did not work for me, and I am sure it won’t or doesn’t work for you. Once Iet my guard down, showed my employees I am a real person too, I have feelings and bad days just like them, things changed for me. Work became fun, I made great professional relationships, my team became more productive and they respected me more as a leader and in turn I could lead them better.

This post explores practical strategies to foster strong connections amidst business challenges, ensuring that both personal and professional relationships thrive.
